As you're getting ready for your boudoir photography shoot, you're probably trying to decide which way you want to style your hair, how you want to do your makeup, and what you want to wear. While you're making those decisions, don't forget that shoes for boudoir shoots can  turn up the sexy and confidence in your photos!

Sexy Heels Are Always On Point

A pair of sexy heels adds extra spice to any outfit. There are so many different styles to choose from, it can be difficult to settle on which pair to bring. Whether those are stilettos, pumps, or boots, I love when clients add a pair of shoes to their session that makes them feel extra confident. 

While I won't discourage anyone from bringing a pair of shoes they really love, there are shoes for a boudoir shoot that fit the aesthetic better than others. Sexy high heels, for example, add some va va voom to certain poses. Read on to find out more! 

Stilettos

Stilettos are, without a doubt one of the sexiest styles of shoes for a boudoir shoot. Did you know that stilettos get their name from the stiletto dagger? That must be what makes people wearing these heels feel so powerful. 

These classic heels will make your legs appear longer and help you flex those leg muscles. Stilettos can be simple or strappy, it's up to you and your style preference. You'll look like a rockstar either way! 

Another classic heel, pumps have a high heel but offer more coverage of your toes, which makes them a little more comfortable to wear for longer periods of time. A fun fact about pumps, they were the shoes worn by world rulers during the 18th century. So if you're looking for a sexy shoe to show that makes you look and feel like a boss, slip on a pair of pumps!

Slide into your thigh-highs and tighten up your laces, because these boots were made for more than just walking. Long boots are sexy, seductive, and stunning.They give great shape to your legs and they also have an allure similar to lingerie.

If you're looking for a more country-western aesthetic, then a pair of cowboy boots would be perfect shoes for a boudoir shoot!

If The Shoe Fits, Buy One In Every Color

Once you've got the style of shoe you want to wear during your boudoir photoshoot, your next step is to determine the color. 

Color coordinating your outfit and shoes for a boudoir shoot is important. Clashing colors could be distracting in your photos. Here are some boudoir shoot tips for shoe colors.

Your shoes should complement your lingerie. White, strappy heels look great with white, lacy lingerie. Same with black, or whatever color you decide you want to wear. 

If you don't have shoes that match the color of your lingerie, then black shoes are always a safe bet, unless you're wearing white. 

Try not to mix white lingerie with black shoes. While black and white tend to be complementary colors. In this situation, they don't work. If you're using white lingerie, I suggest pairing it with these colors:

• Silver
